As of June, 2008, we are in the beginning stages of a project that will benefit the school Christian school "New Dawning".  The planning has just begun, and I will annouce the details as soon as possible.  So please check back. 
 
In addition, there is another project in the works to benefit the school El Tablon.  Hopefully soon the details will be complete. 

   ~~Student Sponsorship~~

 

Many children in Guatemala would like to attend school but for financial reasons the majority cannot.
 

It costs us $120 - $400 (depending on their school and grade) a year to send a child to school in rural Guatemala. This includes school subscription, school uniform and sweater, all school supplies, backpack, two pairs of socks, underwear, school shoes, tennis shoes, shorts and t-shirt. It also usually includes a musical instrument, an annual school excursion and help with projects - such as mothers and fathers day crafts etc.

~~El Tablon Book Fair~~

 

The Book Fair was a GREAT success!  The total dollar amount in books we received included: books purchased off the "wish list", the free books we earned, and books purchased at Barnes and Noble.  Drum-roll please...  $1,056.75 in books for El Tablon!  There are 121 books total!  These books will bless the children and teachers tremendously. This will be a mini-library for them! We personally delivered the books to the school. In addition to books, we will deliver school supplies, over 1000 crayons, and three huge bookshelves to the school.  THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!  Here they are...
